The idea behind Books & Whimsy: Down The Rabbit Hole Educational Publishing Co LLC began long before it became official in 2022. One quiet morning under the trees, listening to the birds as my children played beside me, inspiration began to bloom. My children were not yet school age, but our days were already filled with curiosity, stories and wonder. I envisioned a beautiful education for my children; one with slow days filled with magic and excitement about the world around them. Unfortunately, doubt crept in and I sent my children to public school. It soon became apparent that my kids would excel at home, immersed in a relaxed homeschool environment. My vision for our homeschool finally came to fruition in 2015 when I quite my job with the public school system and started homeschooling my kids.

As a busy mom who has homeschooled elementary, middle and high-school aged children, I understand the broad picture of teaching at multiple levels and abilities. It can be overwhelming at times, but also deeply rewarding. Just know, it is never too late to create an environment that encourages lifelong learning and sparks creativity.
